Disdain to Rebirth

I did the job

I jumped thru the hoops

Yet disdain met me in a loop.

I am not insane

You cannot assume your are of fame

Gas lighting will not influence me to shame

I forged thru

Tried to mend my nature

How could I bend to his liking

And be plucked by hatred

I bowed to the words

I took and breathed his vision

Could I return to that frightful illusion

Would it ever be enough?

Could he see my collapse

Did this path have room for tandem to bike?

alas .......

Now I know that disdain can have a rebirth

Shed those antiquated terms

Allow the new to enter me without germs

It is wondrous to know and love

Let my truth be told out loud

Never again to have to pay a toll

Or feel a wound, like a giant hole.

Each flower has begun as a seed

Some may expand uninterrupted

Or be seen as a weed.

Take a closer look

And breathe deeply with ease

My floral scent will appease the need.

I am not here to please

Live for YOU and all will proceed

I EMERGED from disdain

Back to the fields of green.
